The Oseberg ship grave in Norway was excavated in 1904–1905. In the ship there were 3 cauldrons, including a large cauldron of approx. 45 cm in diameter. The date on the grave is about 834. There was a chain by the cauldron that is about two meters long and probably hung from a ceiling beam. Other items found in the grave for a kitchen were a cutting board knife and wooden spoon.
